Fun Water Activities for Kids

Jumping the water -Ask your child to jump over a strong stream of water from a garden hose. Move it back and forth, giving him time to jump over. This is a great fun activity to be enjoyed in the garden with your kid. It’s almost like jumping rope, but with a cool splash! Just watch out, in case they decide to turn the hose on you!
Try out Ice Recipes

Teach you kid how to make his own ice pop on a hot day. There are loads of recipes to follow and kids can have slushies any time. Get some nice fruit flavors and help your child to make colored sweet ice cubes. They can suck on these fruity flavored ice cubes whenever they want.

Make ice-cube art!

One of the easiest water activities for kids is to turn simple water and food coloring into fun building blocks. Check out our directions on how to make ice sculptures for kids.

Oil and Water

Get some oil and ask your kid to bring some water. Do an experiment and show them that these two don’t mix. Now mix them together with the help of some liquid detergent. This is a fun experiment and your kid will even help you clean those dishes.

The 3 States of water
Teach them a little scientific fact about water. Get some water and put it to boil. Tell that that those vapors they see is the gaseous form of water. Ask them to freeze water in the freezer and show them the ice cubes, the solid state of water. Kids will remember this little lesson in science and understand the solid, liquid, and gas state of water.

Plan some nice water activities for kids. Make them fun and interesting as well as educational. Make sure of some great educational resources and employ the right teaching ideas. Keep you kid involved with interesting water related topics such as bubbles, snow flakes, ice etc.  Your kids will love these activities and would love to know more about water.
